Basic insurance coverage covers the handling and transporting of household items and office contents, and has a release value of $4.00 per kg per item. Insurance does not cover chips on press board and particle board items, glass and mirror items, nor scratches on the walls and hallways. Clients are advised to have additional liability/insurance coverage for their move.
Any claim or complaint must be in written correspondence within 15 days after the move or incident date. Olds Moving Ltd will acknowledge any claim or complaint and will communicate with the client in written correspondence to resolve the claim or complaint within 30 days from the date the claim is filed.
Olds Moving must be notified if the movers are to handle any hazardous materials, dangerous goods or any unsafe items. The movers have the right to refuse transport of these items.
Olds Moving Ltd will not be deemed liable for any damage to items caused by improper packing or wrapping by the client, nor any damage to the interior and items in the building during the moving process. If the client helps with the move, Olds Moving Ltd will not be liable for any damaged items, nor for any injury that may occur to the client and their helpers.
